Regulation on the Protection of Buildings from Fire (MDGY); It obliges to take precautions against fire in all buildings and holds all parties (manufacturer, project firm, consultant firm, contractor, end user) responsible for the material and moral damages that will occur as a result of not complying with the provisions of the regulation, in proportion to their defects.
In accordance with the BKHY; fire cabinet, sprinkler, hydrant, foam monitor etc. in accordance with the building / facility, fire risk (low, medium, high danger, etc.). fire protection installation is required. Fire risk of the building; Depending on the purpose, area and height of use, whether there are only fire cabinets or fire cabinets + hydrants or all three systems varies. Likewise, the flow rate and pressure of the fire pump used in the building or facility, which will feed the above-mentioned fire fighting tools (fire cabinet, sprinkler, hydrant) in accordance with the fire risk, are calculated, the amount of water and tank size required to be stocked until the fire department is reached.
The electrical and mechanical properties of the fire pump to be installed within the scope of fire fighting are described in the fire standards called BKHY and TS EN 12845. TS EN 12845 is the same as the European fire standard EN12845 + A2 (2009), it is the "Turkish Fire Standard" created by the Turkish Standards Institute with the permission of the European Standardization Committee (CEN).
